Shopping in Rustenburg

Today I was finally able to do a little shopping in town to get groceries and a few other items I needed. Shannon, a young woman who volunteers at Lighthouse on Tuesdays and Thursdays, was working with me in the baby room this morning and offered to take me to the grocery store. I guess she was planning on going this morning anyway.

So we drove to Woolworth's, which looks like an American department store, but has a small grocery store inside towards the back. I picked up lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, milk, cereal, and lots of easy to make dinners like pasta. I also bought a couple microwave dinners just in case. :)

Later in the afternoon, Lorinda, who lives and works at Lighthouse, took me with her to the drugstore. I had brought travel size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, etc. to save space in my suitcase, so I bought the full size bottles today here in Rustenburg.

We also stopped in a little bakery to sample samosas since Lorinda discovered I had never tried them and was sure that my life would not be complete until I had sampled one. They were delicious!

Next time you are shopping you should look for "TimTams". They are a biscuit (cookie) that are insanely delicious, and I don't even really like chocolate! You should get some and if you can get a hold of some hot chocolate, bite off the ends of the cookie sip up some hot chocolate through it, and hurry up and slam it in your mouth because it melts!!!

You have just been introduced to a "TimTam Slam"!!! :)

I hope you get to enjoy it girly!!
