Pajamas

I currently have a flat sheet, 3 blankets, and a comforter on my bed.  Just in case that wasn't warm enough, the following is what I've been wearing for pajamas (and, yes, I do mean all at the same time):

- tank top
- long sleeve shirt
- small T-shirt
- extra large T-shirt
- my Third Day hoodie
- my very warm YWAM hoodie (with the hood up!)
- sweat pants
- flannel pajama pants (yes, over the sweat pants...desperate times call for desperate measures)
- 2-3 pairs of socks

I'm going to have to ask one of my new flatmates to take a picture of me in my many layers.  I'm sure it's quite a sight to behold and probably good for a laugh.  I feel kind of like an eskimo, which is especially ironic since I'm in Africa.

Just the other day I was talking with Janis, and she was concerned about having 2 space heaters going at night once Sarah and Charity arrived and about how she hoped they didn't trip the breaker.   To which I responded, "I can keep my space heater going all night?  And not burn down the flat?"

So to my excitement, I discovered that I don't have to turn off my beloved space heater when I turn out the lights.  Not that it really makes a huge difference in the room temperature, but it certainly helps!

Also, Happy 4th of July!  As you might have guessed, today is just an ordinary day in South Africa.  So eat a hot dog and enjoy some fireworks for me!  :)

Happy 4th to you also. Sorry you are so cold. It does seem ironic, because when I think of Africa, I always assume....hot. I'm so glad you are able to share in this project God is using. I pray He shows you some things that will make your path clearer. Stay warm.
